Job Description:
Kings View is a nonprofit leader in providing behavioral health
services to the underserved community, is currently seeking a
driven Mental Health Clinician I - Recovery to join our mission to
provide compassionate services to those with limited resources. Our

Mental Health Clinician I - Recovery (229) Hanford, CA Under
clinical supervision, the Mental Health Clinician I, provides
mental health direct services in an outpatient setting that
includes individual therapy, intake assessments, and facilitating
skills classes/groups for the Recovery Oriented level of care.
Direct services are provided for adult consumers of the Kings
County area, including some travel to Avenal, Corcoran, or
Kettleman City. How will I contribute Provide direct services to
individuals assigned to caseload. Evaluate consumers for serious
psychiatric problems and provide appropriate treatment plans and
carry out treatment using a wide variety of treatment modalities
such as individual, group, conjoint and family therapy. Maintain a
monthly productivity standard of 100 hours of billable time per
month. Participate in Access Rotation schedule as directed.
Complete documentation on same day as service at a rate of 80% or
better or within 1-3 days of service. Maintain positive working
relationships with community partners and agencies such as, but not
limited to Kings County Behavioral Health, Child Welfare Services,
Probation, Adventist Health, and others. Participate in appropriate
staff meetings and other committee meetings as needed. Provide
training presentations, consultation, education, and information as
requested, and as time allows, to community agencies, individuals
and professionals. Be sensitive to community agencies and general
publics needs for quick access for mental health services and to
help promote a positive image to the community. May require
non-traditional working hours based on needs of the clinic. The
employee may be required, on an infrequent basis, to assist in
covering after-hours crisis needs. Maintain registration with BBS
as a licensed/unlicensed/waivered clinician. Complete four hours of
cultural humility training per year. Complete training in MRT
Achieve all performance standards. Achieve basic competencies in
using our electronic recordkeeping system. This includes but is not
limited to effective use of Scheduler, effective use of Dashboard,
effective Development of Plan of Care, effective created of
Diagnosis Documents, effective creation of progress notes. In the
course of performing job duties follows all Kings View policies and
procedures, administrative directives, all relevant county, state,
and federal regulations, and any performance obligations contained
in the Kings View program contracts with other entities. Maintain
familiarity and compliance with the code of conduct and the
requirements of the compliance program that are elements of
performance evaluations and conditions of employment. Other duties
as assigned. May encounter risk of working with persons with SMI
(serious mental illness) that may include, but not limited to
persons in mental health crisis, persons that may be intoxicated or
impaired by drugs or alcohol, persons who may be DTO (danger to
others), DTS (Danger to Self), or GD (Gravely Disabled). If such
situations arise, staff will be required to call local emergency
personnel to help deescalate the crisis, use crisis intervention
techniques, and consult with supervisor as soon as practically
possible. What I bring Master Degree in Psychology, Counseling,
Social Sciences, or related. Registered AMFT, ASW, or APCC with the
California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Class C Driving License
Counseling experience or an equivalent post-Masters specialized
certification. CA regulations describing involuntary detainment and
due to a mental health condition, duty to protect, duty to report
Facility with core conditions, establishing rapport. Competence in
using assigned laptop at remote locations. Patience, perseverance,
team player, flexibility. Works well with others in difficult
situations Intermediate facility with Microsoft Office. Excellent
